National Barrel Horse Association

The National Barrel Horse Association, headquartered in Augusta, Georgia, is the largest barrel racing organization in the world. In 1992, the NBHA revolutionized the barrel racing industry by pioneering the divisional format, which allows riders of all skill levels a chance to win money and prizes in barrel racing competition. 

 

The purpose of the National Barrel Horse Association is to provide barrel racers with an international organization that will promote the sport of barrel racing and its growth

 

NBHA has over 23,000 members of all ages across the United States and affiliates in six countries: Canada, Brazil, Italy, France, Panama, and Australia. Currently NBHA payouts are steady at about $4 million a year!!!

NBHA New Brunswick

The NBHA New Brunswick district was launched in 2018 to promote the Barrel Racing industry in the Maritimes by providing local members with the opportunity to compete at National and International Levels.

 

Our goals are to increase the number of participants, improve the quality of shows, and enhance the image of barrel racing.

Our shows are currently all held in New Brunswick, but we don't limit memberships to NB residents!

Our rules have been adopted to address the needs of NBHA members, promote fairness, eliminate confusion, and assist show organizers. See rule book for class descriptions

 

Top 10 riders in each division (1D, 2D, 3D, 4D) in open, senior, youth, and teen barrels at year end qualify for NBHA Open & Senior Worlds (Georgia) and Youth and Teen Worlds (Georgia)
